Gloun Stone Quarries is fully committed to providing high quality stone and concrete products to our customers.
We have rigorous quality control regimen to ensure that the products are of a continual high standard. This includes both our own in-house testing and external testing by Independent Certified Laboratories for continuous development.
Gloun Stone Quarries are certified by the NSAI for the following Standards:
Schull Quarry:
- EN 206 2013 – Concrete: Specification, Performance, Production and Conformity
- EN 13242:2002 + A1 2007 S.R. 21:2014 + A1:2016 – Aggregates for unbound and hydraulically bound materials for use in civil engineering work and road construction
- EN 13043:2002/AC:2004 – Aggregates for bituminous mixtures and surface treatments for roads, airfields and other trafficked areas.
Caher West Quarry:
- EN 206 2013 – Concrete: Specification, Performance, Production and Conformity
- EN 13242:2002 + A1 2007 S.R. 21:2014 + A1:2016 – Aggregates for unbound and hydraulically bound materials for use in civil engineering work and road construction
Our Caher West Quarry is also Licensed by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. To supply Agriculture Limestone and are registered with the National Fertiliser Database to supply Lime under the National Liming programme.
